Samantha Kingston-

She is a very pretty, popular, girl. She knows that she's gorgeous and uses it to her advantage. She starts out dating Rob but then she "hooks up" with her math teacher. After a while she figures out that she is in love with Kent. Her best friends are Ally, Lindsay, and Elody. She is not that close to her family and acts a little bit stuck up at times, but she cares about how she treats people. 





 

Lindsay-

Lindsay is the queen bee. She leads the clique. She is the meanest and the prettiest of the girls. She claims to hate certain girls for no reason and bullies the people of their high school. She once acted very mean to everyone including her friends after she got back from a vacation. The girls later find out it was because she lost her virginity and just needed to tell someone about it. She regularly bullies Juliet Sykes by making the Psycho noise and getting everyone to do it when Juliet is around. Lindsay used to be best friends with Juliet until she had an accident in a camping trip and blamed it on Juliet. She also made up a mean rhyme about Samantha when they were in middle school.







Ally-

Ally is the wealthiest. She likes to cook yet she has an eating disorder. She follows Lindsay and was one of the newest members along with Elody. She is very quiet at times. The girls usually have their sleepovers at her house because it is the biggest.


Elody-

Elody is the "nicest" according to Sam. She's also the most sexually experienced out of the four girls. She follows Lindsay around as well. She often gets a little bit too drunk at parties. She is very beautiful like the other girls and is dating someone. She is the most gifted when it comes to music out of all of the girls.



Rob-

Rob is Sam's boyfriend at the beginning of the day of her death. She was planning on losing her virginity with him the night of that day but she ends up realizing that she is not in love with him at all and he is actually a jerk. She claims she has been in love with him her whole life, but in sixth grade he blew her off because she was not good enough and popular enough for him. She officially breaks up with him on the sixth day but already keeps her distance the second day that she relives.





Juliet-

Juliet is a quiet girl. She is referred to as a psycho, and is often mocked by repeated stabbing motions and the noise from the movie. We learn later in the book that she used to be Lindsay's best friend until Lindsay's accident. She said she never told anyone it was actually Lindsay because she was her friend and cared about her. In most of the days that Sam relives, she throws herself in front of a car (occasionally Lindsay's). She kills herself every night that Sam relives except the seventh because Sam pushes her out of the way. She has a younger sister that cares for her and her dad is an alcoholic.







Kent-

Kent is a quirky and sweet boy who was in love with Samantha since the third grade after they kissed. He has tried approaching her countless times and she just saw him as a creep that stalks her regularly. She often describes him as a mess. He got really mad at Samantha the first night she dies for spilling beer all over Juliet along with everyone else.  On the fourth day, Kent finds her crying and tucks her into bed and she realizes that she is falling for him. On the fifth day, Kent comforts her after she sees Juliet and Elody die. He tucks her in again and softly kisses her and she falls head-over-heels for him.
